Is Coinmidco custodial?
No. Coinmidco never holds, moves or has access to your crypto or your recovery phrase. Your keys are generated on your device and stay there. That also means no one else can recover your wallet for you — your recovery phrase is the only way back in.
What happens if I lose my phone or laptop?
Install Coinmidco on any other device and import your backup phrase. Your wallet — same addresses, same balances — comes back in seconds. That is why the phrase matters more than the device: it is the wallet, and the device is only a window onto it. Keep it offline and private.
Does it cost anything?
The wallet is free and has no subscription. You only pay network fees when you move funds on-chain, plus a transparent 0.3% fee on internal swaps — always shown before you confirm.
Why do I need to sign up with an email?
Your email address is your account: it is what you verify at sign-up, what lets you recover access, and what the encrypted backup of your recovery phrase is linked to. Beyond an email address, a password and an optional display name, sign-up asks for nothing else. Identity verification is required before you can send or withdraw funds — it is handled inside the app and never gives us access to your keys.
